Healthy Breakfast as a Ritual

Nutrition as a structured BGM building block: a shared healthy breakfast combines prevention and team culture – plannable, recurring, and documentable.

Why eating together is more than just eating People who eat together talk to each other differently. A breakfast takes the pressure off the encounter: it's not a meeting, not an agenda, just a table with good things on it. Along the way, it makes healthy options tangible – fruit, whole grains, something homemade are more convincing than any nutrition flyer. Leading by example beats issuing instructions.

Low-effort to organize, high impact It doesn't have to be a buffet. Even a nicely set corner that everyone can contribute something to creates the ritual. What matters is reliability: a fixed rhythm that people look forward to. Once a month or once a quarter is entirely sufficient – as long as it stays a fixed date and doesn't fizzle out after the first time.

The right moment makes it visible The shared breakfast has the greatest impact around the day dedicated to healthy nutrition. That's when the internal ritual connects with an occasion that can also be told externally – a visible signal that health belongs here. For companies that want to approach nutrition without wagging a finger, this is the ideal entry point.

How to put it in place

  1. 1
Festen Termin wählen: einmal im Monat, immer am gleichen Wochentag (z.B. erster Freitag)
  2. 2
Ort und Zeit klären: Küche/Aufenthaltsraum, 30-45 Minuten am Morgen vor dem Arbeitsstart
  3. 3
Mitbring-Prinzip festlegen: Jede:r bringt etwas Gesundes mit – Obst, Vollkornbrot, Joghurt, Aufstriche
  4. 4
  12. 12
Teilnahme beobachten: Kommen die Leute? Wird es zum festen Ritual?
  13. 13
Kurzes Stimmungsbild einholen: Was soll bleiben, was ändern?
  14. 14
Entscheiden, ob Rhythmus oder Format angepasst wird
